Grief Dialogues

A Tribute to those who served

An immersive, artful theatre experience about loss, love, and what it means to be human, In Honor examines the cost of courage and the silence that follows the battlefield.

In Honor is a two-hour immersive event that gives voice to veterans and their families through theatre, spoken word, music, and shared storytelling. Through a series of intimate performances and artistic encounters, audiences are invited to step into a space where stories of service, sacrifice, and remembrance can be witnessed with dignity and care.

At its heart, In Honor invites us to remember those who served and to recognize the profound human impact of military life. The experience moves beyond the battlefield to explore memory, grief, resilience, and the enduring bonds that connect veterans, their loved ones, and the communities that stand beside them.

With each production across the country, In Honor lifts veterans into the spotlight they deserve and calls on communities to honor their stories, their service, and the lives forever shaped by it.

Production Team & Vision

In Honor is guided by a collaborative leadership team that brings together artistic direction, military cultural insight, and immersive design.

Grief Dialogues founder Elizabeth Coplan created In Honor as a space where stories of military service, sacrifice, and remembrance can be explored through the arts, creating opportunities for reflection, dialogue, and community connection.

Under the direction of Dani Davis, the production has evolved into a living immersive theatre experience. Audiences move through a curated landscape of short plays, poetry, music, sculpture, and shared reflection, blending reverence, pride, and moments of warmth to explore what follows the battlefield—the memories, the silence, and the communities that remain.

Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar, Army Veteran and Artist-in-Residence, brings national leadership in Veteran-centered end-of-life care, military cultural competency, and applied theatre to the project. Through storytelling, creative scholarship, and dialogue-driven community engagement, she helps ensure the experience reflects the lived realities of military families while honoring dignity, belonging, and relational healing.

Michael Bud serves as Creative Producer and Director of Design for In Honor, shaping the audience experience from arrival through reflection. Working across promotion, staging, production design, and visual storytelling, he translates the project’s artistic vision into a cohesive immersive environment that supports remembrance, connection, and collective witnessing.

Together, this leadership team creates an immersive space where art, storytelling, and community converge to honor the service and humanity of veterans and their families.
